What you can do with NetSight
NetSight connects TR-069 management to the subscriber inventory through GenieACS. Operators can distinguish connected, offline, and never-connected devices, inspect ACS information, and request supported tasks. The monitored connection stays close at hand during remote diagnosis. Device support remains important: not every manufacturer exposes the same parameters or accepts the same operations.
ACS connection status
Review connected, offline, and never-informed states with available last-inform information.
Device & ONU context
Inspect ACS information alongside linked ONU inventory and connection details.
Remote reboot & refresh
Request supported reboot or refresh operations with confirmation and task feedback.
Subscriber Wi-Fi settings
Supported Wi-Fi operations can be exposed through the customer portal when enabled by the operator.
A connected workflow
- 01Configure GenieACS and compatible CPE to inform the ACS.
- 02Locate the device and inspect its status and parameters.
- 03Submit an authorized operation and verify the resulting state.
Compatibility & setup
Requires a configured GenieACS deployment and compatible TR-069 CPE. Parameters and tasks vary by firmware and model. Devices must be reachable through the ACS for operations to complete.
Common questions
Does TR-069 management work on every ONU?
No. The equipment must support the required TR-069 functions and be configured for the ACS.
Can operators reboot devices remotely?
Yes, for supported and reachable ACS-managed equipment. NetSight provides confirmation before sending a reboot request.
